PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – The search continues for a North Charleston man who fell into the Waccamaw River while completing work on a dock in a Pawleys Island neighborhood and never surfaced.
According to Chief Doug Eggiman of Midway Fire Rescue. Information Officer Carrie Weaver, around 3 p.m. on November 23, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified that a man performing construction repairs on a dock in Hagley Estates fell into the water and did not surface.
According to an incident from Georgetown County authorities, the missing man is identified as a 53-year-old black man who lives on Lawrence Street in North Charleston.
Deputies will resume daily searches along the Waccamaw River until the man is found.
