COLUMBIA, SC – Governor Nikki Haley and her family kicked off the holiday season with the 49th Annual Governor’s Carolighting on the north steps of the South Carolina Statehouse Monday evening.
The event begin at 7:00 p.m. and was open to the public.
This year’s tree was donated by Pinetum Christmas Tree Farm in Maryland as a gesture of hospitality and good will after the flooding in October.
The Emanuel AME Church Choir wore red robes and sang with local school choirs during the lighting.
