KINGSTREE, SC (WBTW) – Williamsburg County deputies say a liquor store clerk was injured after being hit several times during a robbery Tuesday night.
According to Investigator Alex Edwards with the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an armed robbery at High Five Discount Liquor, located at 1983 Thurgood Marshall Highway in Kingstree, around 6:26 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies say the store clerk explained two black men walked into the store. One suspect was partially masked and armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded the store employee get on his knees, and the gunman hit the victim repeatedly on his head.
Investigator Edwards reports all the money from the cash register was taken. The victim had to seek medical treatment at an area hospital. The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone that has information concerning this incident please call 843-355-6381.
