CHESTER, S.C. (AP) – Authorities in Chester County are investigating the death of a missing woman who was found dead without clothes near her home
Chief Deputy Coroner Tommy Williams tells local media that 51-year-old Judy Lindsey was found dead near her Chester home on Sunday around noon.
Chester County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Robert Sprouse says Lindsay had been reported missing by her boyfriend at about 9:30 a.m. that morning. Lindsey’s daughter says her mother was on the porch when she went to bed just after midnight.
Lindsey’s body was found near bushes about 200 feet from her home.
Sprouse says investigators are talking to a person of interest in the case.
Details have not been released about the condition of the body, which was sent Monday to Newberry for an autopsy.
