WASHINGTON, N.C. – Highway Patrol is investigating a school bus crash that happened Monday morning in Beaufort County.
It happened around 6:15 a.m. on U.S. 264 East near Harvey Road, which is East of Washington.
Sarah Hodges Stalls, spokesperson for Beaufort Coounty Schools, said no students were on board the bus when it crashed and the driver was not taken to the hospital.
The bus, #282, is a Beaufort County Schools bus which transports Beaufort County students to the Northeast Regional School of Biotechnology and AgriScience in Jamesville.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the N.C. Highway Patrol Office in Washington.
