CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The Peanut Warehouse of Conway will reopen again. It’s now being managed and operated by Scott Thompson, of Thompson Farm and Nursery.
According to a press release, the long term lease was signed with the Burroughs Company, who built the warehouse in 1900. This venue was originally built for peanut and fertilizer storage which later became a tobacco warehouse. The building was most recently used for weddings and special events prior to its closing in March 2014.
Renovations are currently being administered to restore the historic building and is scheduled to be reopened in early March of 2016. The Peanut Warehouse of Conway will be available to rent for weddings, receptions, special events, corporate events, in addition to hosting potential monthly Bluegrass Festivals and future Political Stump Meetings.
The Peanut Warehouse of Conway is a sister venue to the well-known Bucksville Hall venue located at Thompson Farm in Conway. For more information contact the facility’s office at (843) 236-1400.
