ST. SIMONS, Ga. – A small plane landed on the roof of a home on St. Simons Island leaving two people injured.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday at 224 Circle Drive.
The two passengers that were in the aircraft received minor injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital.
The plane, a Piper PA-32 took off from Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport and was headed for the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport in Georgia.
The Piper PA-32 can hold one pilot and five passengers, with room for 6 passengers if an optional seat is installed.
FAA is investigating with the National Transportation and Safety Board.
