A fight that escalated into a shooting early Thursday morning has led to the arrest of one man, according to Horry County Police.

Officers charged Remington Bunting, 31, of North Myrtle Beach with two counts of attempted murder. Bunting remains in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway.

An Horry County Police report says officers were called to 1441 Turkey Ridge Road around 2:15 a.m. Thursday in reference to a shooting. Bunting was found pinned to the ground when officers arrived on scene.

The report claims a man accused Bunting of hitting on his 17-year-old daughter, which prompted an altercation and argument between the two. The man told responding officers he punched Bunting twice and held him down, just before Bunting pulled out a gun and began shooting.

The man and a third person were shot, according to investigators.

Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, says both of the injured men are expected to recover.
