DARLINGTON COUNTY (WBTW) – A Hartsville man is in jail on multiple charges after he rear-ended a Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Thursday night.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:55 p.m. Thursday night on East Billy Farrow Highway.
The Highway Patrol charged 45-year-old Keith Vinson, of Hartsville, with driving under suspension, driving under the influence, and child endangerment. Vincon was booked into the Darlington County Detention Center at 1:44 a.m. Friday morning.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office reports on its Facebook page that Vinson “had a small child in the vehicle.” Troopers told News13 the deputy had minor injuries, but is expected to make a full recovery.
