CONWAY (WBTW) — A Conway woman is in jail after police say she gave birth to a baby that tested positive for drugs last month.

According to a police report, she gave birth on December 21 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet. At the time, both the woman and the child tested positive for drugs including cocaine and marijuana.

34-year-old Patricia Brummett is charged with one count of unlawful neglect of a child, and is still in jail at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
