GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) – A Greenville woman is scheduled to appear in court next week on computer crime charges involving fraudulent football game tickets for Clemson, South Carolina and other colleges.
The Greenville News reported that 52-year-old Melissa Grey is scheduled to be in court Sept. 15.
Grey was charged with second-degree computer crime last fall. Court records show additional charges were filed earlier this year.
Arrest warrants state that Grey used a computer to advertise 2014 Clemson and South Carolina tickets and parking passes for sale on Craigslist and TigerNet.
Several people reported they deposited money in Grey’s PayPal account but she never provided tickets or passes or she gave them reprinted tickets.
Five people said Grey collected more than $4,000 from them after she advertised the tickets and passes.
