Beautiful weather helped bring out big crowds to Aynor Saturday for the 36th Annual Harvest Hoe Down.

Organizers say 143 vendors from across the country sold all kinds of items from jewelry, to clothing, to handmade crafts, all to get people in the mood for fall.

There was also plenty of entertainment and food available for kids of all ages.

More than 20,000 people attended the event and attendees say it’s gets bigger and better each year.

“I remember the hoe down when it was in its development stages and seeing where it is now.  It’s phenomenal.  I salute all the staff and everyone behind the scenes, they really pulled it together,” said Joe Chestnut who was visiting the festival from North Myrtle Beach.

Proceeds from the hoe-down benefit the Aynor Pilot Club, who use the money to help children in the area who are suffering from brain disorders.
