TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – A shooting in Timmonsville killed one person Monday afternoon, according to the coroner’s office.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken says Darius Jones died in the shooting. Jones was 18, from Timmonsville. The shooting happened around 2 p.m. Monday at 311 W. Byrd Street in Timmonsville.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting as a homicide, reports Major Michael Nunn. The Timmonsville Police Department is assisting in the investigation and investigators used bloodhounds near the scene of the shooting to possibly track a suspect.
Police have not released any information related to a possible suspect in the case.
