SUNNY ORANGE BREAKFAST ROLLS
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Baking Time 20-25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 13.9 oz. pkg Pillsbury refrigerated orange flavor sweet rolls with icing
- 12.75 oz Smucker’s low sugar sweet orange marmalade
- 6 strips maple flavor bacon
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 c sour cream
- 1 T. butter
- 1 t. crumbled dried basil
Beat 4 eggs and season with salt and pepper
Place in pan with 1 T. melted butter, 1/4 c sour cream and cook lightly
Turn eggs out onto plate and cool thoroughly
Turn rolls out onto lightly floured surface and pat out into a rectangle roughly 9″ x 4″
Spread 1/3 cup marmalade over this rectangle
Partially cook strips of bacon, set aside to cool
Place cooked/cooled eggs over rectangle of sweet rolls and orange marmalade shaping eggs into a rectangle, piecing together as needed
Place partially cooked/cooled bacon on top. Sprinkle with basil if desired
Roll into a log and cut with a serrated knife into equal portions
Place in baking pan and at this point, if desired, rolls can be refrigerated overnight
Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes
Drizzle with icing from sweet roll package
Best served warm
