BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – The driver involved in a single-car wreck Thursday died after being ejected from the SUV when the vehicle ran off the road.
Cpl. Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol said it happened around 12:00 p.m. Thursday on Bennettsville Fire Tower Road. The driver of a 2004 GMC Envoy was traveling west when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and overturned.
Coroner Tim Brown said Willie Roller of Tatum died at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.
