FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence man is behind bars after South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents charged him with intimidating a judge Wednesday.
A release from SLED officials states Norman Nehemiah McCoy, 33, of Florence, was jailed in connection with statements made to a family court judge during a hearing Wednesday. Agents say McCoy is charged with intimidation of court officials, jurors or witnesses, which is a felony that could put McCoy behind bars for a decade.
McCoy was booked into the Florence County Detention Center at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday night.
