DILLON, SC (WBTW) – Free prom dresses and accessories were donated to teen girls inside the Dillon county wellness center Saturday afternoon.
More than 100 dresses were available for girls who attend Dillon High School, part of an effort to make dreams come true for underprivileged teens.
Those who came by not only received a free dress but accessories and a makeover.
The woman who has been putting the “Prepping for Prom” event together for the past three years says she was able to fulfill one girl’s dream Saturday when she thought everything was close to crumbling down.
“She was so happy to find a dress , to come in and get it completely free and get jewelry and make-up and her mom was really excited about it so it was just a really good,” said C’Arra Lance.
Lance says she has made stops throughout the Pee Dee in the past month and gave away more than fifteen dresses to girls who attend Dillon High School.
