Irish Fest in Market Common draws crowds to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Saint Patrick’s Day is Thursday, but folks decked out in green a few days early to celebrate the Irish across the Grand Strand.

Saturday was the Market Common’s 7th annual Irish Fest, the event attracts big crowds to celebrate the culture.

Folks enjoyed food from local restaurants, live music and some great beer to wash it all down.

More than 30 vendors were a part of the celebrations and people who came out say it was a great excuse for a good time

“The culture down here is awesome, everyone comes out for a good cause a good time, and you never don’t have fun down here,” said Amanda Anderson who lives nearby.

“I love it the sun is shining the beer is pouring, what more can I ask for,” said Brittany Levine, who lives in Myrtle Beach.

If you missed out on Saturday’s festivities, it’s not too late to celebrate St. Patricks’s Day.

The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk will be hosting the Luck of the MarshWalk event on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6 p.m.
