LAURENS, SC (WBTW) – For the second straight year, Lake View High School has won the South Carolina Academic Challenge championship.
Lake View beat Indian Land High of Lancaster County Thursday for the state Division 2 title.
The championship was held in Laurens.
Lake View beat Camden in the semifinals.
Our area had three other teams in the state tournament.
However, Wilson High of Florence and Chesterfield-Ruby and Lake View Middle Schools all lost their semifinal matches.
The Pee Dee Education Center puts on the local Academic Challenges each year. The local winners then go to the state finals.
