LORIS, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened near Loris and killed two women Monday morning.
According to the SCHP website, the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on SC 348 near Bear Grass Road, about four miles south of Loris. Troopers say two cars were involved in the crash when a four-door Buick, traveling west, crossed the center line and hit a Nissan SUV, traveling east, head-on. Both drivers were killed in the crash, troopers add.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick identified one victim as Kenya Shavada Robinson, 26, of Loris. Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden says the second victim killed in the crash is Tammy Hardee, 47, of Loris. Hardee died at Grand Strand Medical Center, adds McSpadden.
The crash remains under investigation, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
