CHERAW, SC (WBTW) – A suspect has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after stabbing a man nine times after an argument Friday night, according to Captain Daniel Scott with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Scott says the two men were in a heated argument over a vehicle Friday night on Oak Street near Henry Singleton Lane when Dennis Mitchell stabbed a man continuously.
Deputies say Mitchell was arrested and charged with attempted murder and use of a weapon during commission of a violent crime.
He was booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center, according to Scott.
Scott says as of Saturday afternoon, the victim was still in the ICU at a nearby hospital.
