DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A Darlington man has been arrested after multiple attempts to set his neighbor’s house on fire, according to police.
Sheriff Wayne Byrd with the Darlington County Sheriff’s office said Andrew Delone Brown, 37, of Darlington was arrested on Friday, April 15, 2016, after he tried over a period of three weeks to set a neighbor’s house on fire.
Byrd said the Darlington County Fire District responded to a house fire on Friday, April, 15, 2016, at the home of Brown’s neighbor. Byrd said investigators were able to collect video evidence of Brown from the scene.
Police issued an arrest and search warrant Friday at Brown’s home, and after a brief struggle with him, were able to take Brown into custody.
Brown has been arrested and charged with three counts of arson in the third degree and six counts of attempted murder.
