LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – The 1st Annual American Heritage Festival Revolutionary War Reenactment at Graham’s Historic Farm in Lake City, SC ended on Sunday.

The reenactment at Graham’s Historic Farm is part of the 1st annual American Heritage Festival. The festival is a showcase of the vibrant history and culture of Lake City, Florence County, and the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. It featured battle reenactments, military demonstrations, period and modern vendors, a colonial village, lectures by noted historians and authors, music concerts, and more.

Although the rain kept many people from attending the festival, organizers say the event started with family.

“I wanted to express that the best way I could, so what better way to have it all than a living testament of what happened here,” said Paul Graham, director of American Heritage Festival.

The Festival is actively supported, both logistically and financially, by several corporate sponsors, including:

  • Francis Marion University
  • Lake City Chamber of Commerce
  • Florence County Historical Society
  • Lynches Lake Historical Society

The centerpieces of the Festival are the Revolutionary War battle reenactments and living history activities.

Organizers say they estimated nearly 600 people passing through for the three day event
