HORRY COUNTY (WBTW) – Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in Longs Friday night.
Battalion Chief Brian VanAernem says one person was inside the home at 1400 Loop Circle. Fire crews said there was heavy fire throughout the mobile home when they responded around 9 p.m.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says Jamey Earl Babson, age 40, from the Longs area, died at the scene.
Hendricks says an autopsy showed signs of smoke inhalation but they are waiting on results of all other tests before final cause-of-death is determined.
Horry County Fire and Police investigating.
