Bennettsville, SC -Marlboro County Sheriff Fred Knight says deputies arrested Charles Andrew McRae aka Happy Jack, 54, of 604 Center ST Apt 3A in Bennettsville for Operating a Gambling House and Possession of Gambling Equipment. The MCSO and SLED raided the operation on Railroad Ave today and seized 14 machines and the cash from the machines. Authorities say this is the second time in the last few months the same place has had machines seized by SLED. The first time McRrae received a warning from SLED. McRaie is in jail at the Marlboro County Detention Center. Sheriff Knight says, “My Investigators have been working with SLED over the past few weeks on several undercover operations concerning illegal gambling. The investigation into this type of gambling and other crimes related to it is ongoing. If anyone has any information, please feel free to call and the information will be kept confidential.”
