Have You Heard, the only South Carolinian to walk on the moon celebrates his 80th birthday today (10/3).
Charles Duke was actually born in Charlotte but he grew up in Lancaster and went to Lancaster High School.
Duke flew on Apollo 16 (1972) and became the tenth man to step foot on the moon. He was only 36 at the time, so he’s also the youngest man to ever walk on the moon.

The game was played in Dayton, Ohio, between the Dayton Triangles and the Columbus Panhandles. Both teams at the time were members of the American Professional Football Assocation. Dayton won, 14-0.
In one of the most-publicized trials of the 20th century, O.J. Simpson was acquitted of the murder of his ex-wife and a friend of hers, 20 years ago today (10/3/1995).
13 years later, Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping. He remains in prison in Nevada.
