DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW)- The Darlington community came together for the 3rd annual Domestic Violence Awareness Road March.

The event featured speakers, music and fellowship. This is the 18th year that South Carolina has been in the Top 10 for women killed by men.

“As a survivor, I try to reach out to as many women as I can, so they can vent out and know that there is a way out and that someone is here for them,” Tonya Flowers Founder of the House of Refuge said.

The House of Refuge handed out literature about abuse. Participants marched around the block near The Public Square in Darlington.
