Crews are making steady progress reopening roads and bridges in South Carolina.
The state Department of Transportation reports that on Monday, 15 more roads and three more bridges were reopened to traffic across the state.
There are now 166 state roads and bridges that are still closed as a result of the historic flooding earlier this month. There are still closures on 17 primary routes – that is, state and federal highways – in South Carolina.
The department says that crews are working 12-hour shifts, seven days a week, to get state roads and bridges reopened.
