MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Batman will be the most popular Halloween costume in Myrtle Beach on October 31, according to Google Frightgeist.
Google’s trending Halloween costume tool predicts those who dress up as Batman are sure to run in to a few others with the same costume, at least in Myrtle Beach. The popular getup ranks fifth in popularity nationally.
Google’s Frightgeist predicts the top five most popular Halloween costumes in Myrtle Beach are:
- Batman
- Harley Quinn
- Clown
- Pirate
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Grim Reaper is also a popular costume choice along the Grand Strand, Google reports, but only comes in at the 213th spot nationally.
Just south of Myrtle Beach, Halloween party goers in Charleston will likely be dressed as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, a princess or Wonder Woman.
In Wilmington, two superheroes are included in the top three costume choices. Batman is the number one choice, followed by a princess and Spider-Man.
The capitol city differs from the pack with a traditional costume. Those celebrating Halloween are likely to dress as a witch, pirate or Barbie in Columbia.
