WINSTON SALEM, NC (WBTW) – One person is died after an on-campus shooting at Winston-Salem State University.
Campus Police said the deceased, as well as another person injured, were believed to be students at the university. They’re not releasing the names at this time.
Police believe a man named Jarrett Jerome Moore is the shooter, but said he is not a student at the school.

The University was put on lock down earlier this morning. The school lifted the lock-down just before 5:00 a.m. Sunday.
The Winston-Salem Police Department told WFMY News 2 it is assisting WSSU Campus Police with the shooting investigation.
