FLORENCE COUNTY, SC – In collaboration with government agencies, non-government organizations, faith based groups, and other community partners a Florence County Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is forming to assist those affected by the October storm. The Group is currently in the developmental stages and plans to begin assisting residents and communities in developing long term recovery plans from their losses by January 2016.
Our LTRG is currently finalizing their structure and will appeal to local volunteer agencies, community civic groups, the Chamber of Commerce as well as community members to donate their time and energies to assist in providing construction material, rebuild and repair activities, spiritual care, and local economic development as examples of sustaining individual and community physical, social, economic, and spiritual well-being.
