GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC – A company specializing in industrial safety announced plans Thursday to expand its facility and staff in Georgetown County.
SafeRack, LLC, will construct a 100,000 square-foot addition to its existing headquarters located at 219 Safety Ave. in Andrews. The $20 million investment will create 100 new jobs over the next five years, according to company officials.
Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin in 2016. The new facility is scheduled to be operational in 2017.
“The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $200,000 Set Aside grant to Georgetown County to assist with the cost of real property improvements, as well as job development credits related to the project,” according to a press release.
SafeRack manufactures industrial safety products and provides turnkey services that improve worker safety and productivity in truck, railcar and industrial loading applications.
