HORRY COUNTY, SC – Horry County Police arrested a 27-year-old Socastee man in connection to an armed robbery at a Myrtle Beach-area convenience store.
Horry County Police were called to the Scotchman convenience store on Port Drive around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, says two on-duty employees reported a man acting peculiarly in the store. The employees say the man then threatened them with a rock and demanded money.
The man left with a small amount of cash, according to Denis. No one was hurt.
Investigators charged Randall Clayton Joyner with one count of armed robbery. He remains in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
