HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police are searching for two home invasion suspects after two elderly women were tied up and locked inside the home’s bathroom Wednesday morning.
Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police says officers responded to a home invasion around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Highway 19, in Conway. The elderly victims, a 72-year-old woman and a 90-year-old woman, reported that a man and a woman came into their beauty salon, located near their residence, with shotguns and forced them to go into their home. The two women told officers the suspects tied them up and locked them in a bathroom.
Police say the suspects then ransacked the home for anything of value.
Lt. Denis says the suspects are described as a white male, approximately 30-years-old, standing about 6′ tall and weighing 130-150 pounds. Police report the man has short “buzz cut” black hair and may have a mustache. He was last seen wearing black shoes, jeans, a gray zip up hoodie jacket, black gloves and shades.
The second suspect is a white female, approximately 30-years-old, standing about 5′ to 5’2″ tall and weighing 100 pounds. The female suspect was last seen wearing black shoes, jeans, a gray zip up hoodie jacket, black gloves, black toboggan and shades. The woman is believed to have long hair. The victims reported to police that the female suspect told the victim she had four children, two in school and two who are not. In addition, the female suspect reportedly told the victims she had lung cancer and was being treated at MUSC.
The suspects made off with numerous firearms, jewelry, money in $2 bills, and the victim’s 2004 white Chevrolet C19C 1500 Extended cab pick-up truck. The truck should have SC Tag CGC-822, a small faded “tiger paw” sticker on the tailgate and silver bed rails. The truck also has magnetic stickers on the sides for Chestnut Pools.
