FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Nearly two-thousand people gathered at the Performing Arts Center in Florence for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk.
The event featured dozens of vendors, games and lots of participants walking for a good cause.
Organizers say the mission of the heart walk is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
“The walk we celebrate our survivors. We’re so excited to see so many out there because we know that means we’re doing our job. We’re raising money in fighting heart disease and stroke and saving more lives,” Director of Development Sheryl Love said.
The goal this year is to raise $300,000.
